As the first professional level of SCUBA diving, the PADI Divemaster course sets you up as an experienced role model. When you undertake your divemaster training in Chumphon, you’ll build on your skills and experience and get to enjoy all of the wonderous dive sites that comprise Chumphon Marine Park. To enrol on the course and begin your training, you’ll need to be Rescue Diver and Emergency First Response (EFR) certified already – either through PADI or another equivalent agency. Please note that: Participants must be at least 18 years old Before you take part in any in-water activities, you’ll need to have a diving medical statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months. Some pre-existing conditions require a medical sign off from a dive physician. If in doubt, please contact us with any medical questions prior to booking. During the course, you’ll get to do lots of diving and work on your in-water skills. Under the watchful guidance of one of our expert PADI Instructors, you’ll learn to lead others, supervise scuba diving activities, and assist with divers in training. You’ll also develop a solid theoretical knowledge of all things diving. As with all of our other courses, we recommend completing PADI eLearning in advance to make the most out of your divemaster training in Chumphon and get as much time in the water as possible once you arrive. We provide a complete set of basic SCUBA gear to get you started, including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device (BCD), dive gauges, and a tank. However, as a professional, you’ll want to invest in your own gear sooner rather than later. Our staff are always on hand to advise on which are the best equipment options for you. In addition to basic SCUBA equipment, we’ll also introduce you to some pieces of specialised equipment for professional-level divers and teach you how to use them.
